Tobi Bloomberg - reflecting on some of the recent interviews with a Kryptonite PR person, which revealed a different story than the one widely reported by many bloggers (here and here) - argues that by blogging we do in fact become citizen journalists. As such we should focus on facts and truth or else not only harm our own credibility, but also provide one more stumbling block in our mission as marketers to encourage businesses that blogs are a legitimate marketing tactic.

Of course - arguing whether bloggers are journalists or not is not a new discussion - and one that even courts have voiced an opinion on.

As Tobi points out - hopefully we'll see more debate on that subject coming out of Dan Gilmor's new Center for Citizen Media non-profit.
